I'm Kitten, better known as the Atomic Kitten, Toxickitten or AK, TK for short and I'm the founder of the island.Were just finishing up construction on some of the towns here but the majority of the island is good to go for new trainers to explore it! So, if you want a new place to explore with tons of new Pokémon, this island is a perfect place to do it! Taijitu Isle is named after its two guardians, Natchtang who harbors the western half of the island and Minacht who claims the Eastern half. The island is separated by a long mountain range that goes from the northern side to the southern side, making the only way possible to get from Natchtang's territory to Minacht's is through Slither Pass. The only way to get into the island is through the port, the entire island is protected by large rocky islands which make it impossible to dock a ship or Pokémon on the island any where else near impossible. Well, have fun!
Plot:
An unknown land was at peace. Nothing disturbed and its guardians that were happy with their territory. Nachtang the female dragon Guardian of the Western side and her three Watchers keeping peace in their territory. Minacht, the male dragon of the Eastern side and his three feline Watchers kept peace in their territory. Neither of the legendary dragons ever went near the other's territory, they used their Watchers to deal with problems on the opposite side of the mountain boarder if necessary. If the two dragons ever met eyes with the other, it is said the island would be destroyed in a horrific battle.
An unknown creature has discovered and has invaded their land and is tearing down the forests and jungles to build strange rock homes of their own. None of the Pokémon inhabitants of the island have ever seen a human before. Many of the Pokémon of the island are upset that their land has been disturbed, wanting the strange two legged creatures off their island. The guardian's time of peace has been interrupted and are now trying to keep peace in their own territories. One of the two guardians is wanting to rid the humans off the island for good and the other wants to try and live in peace with them but wants the humans to stop destroying their habitats. Which guardian will make the first move? What will be the outcome of the struggle for the island? Who will reign supreme over the humans?

Chrissy’s all around unofficial rp guide!
This is just a couple of things that I would love if everyone followed. This is also for people who are new to the rp scene. Also to be included are examples of things to do and things not to do.
1. Use proper English grammar and sentence structure. I know we have people from all over the world, but please try and stick to proper grammar as much as possible. A little proofreading of your posts wouldn’t hurt either. A please! Spellcheck is your friend! Firefox has one built in, and it only takes a few second to copy and paste a post into Word. Please, it hurts my eyes to see teh and pokmon scattered throughout posts. I suck at spelling, and at typing, so I understand mistypes and all, but I use a spellcheck because the misspells annoy me and make my eyes hurt. Please save my eyes!
I had a middle school teacher who made my class diagram a sentence (ask an English major if you don’t know what that is) every morning in class. That was 4 years ago and it still makes me wince to hear/read “I am doing good.” It is “I am doing fine” or “I am doing well” if you would be so kind. Remember a simple rule: Well is an adverb, while good is an adjective. This is one of the most common mistakes that people make.
2. Capitalize the first word of a sentence and ONLY proper nouns. It annoys me to no end to see people not capitalize people’s names, or even capitalize the word Pokemon. I don’t really care about the accent, but please just capitalize the first letter. Names are proper and everything. We are on a higher level than mere twigs and grass, aren’t we? That’s why we get a nifty capital to use on the first letter! Oh, and if people could please do something to differentiate attacks from the rest of the post? Like capitalize or bold, just something so that you make sure that the other person knows exactly which attack was used.
3. Paragraph breaks are the hardest thing (in my personal opinion) to understand. Whenever a new person begins speaking or acting, you are supposed to start a new paragraph. This may seem like an aweful lot of paragraphs, but open up your trusty Harry Potter book and see how many paragraphs are used in a single conversation. Another point on paragraph breaks, but this is only for aesthetics. Please double space between paragraphs, it looks so much better and cleaner. That means leave a line of nothing in between paragraphs. Otherwise everything runs together. I don’t care about indenting paragraphs, because the tab button doesn’t work the same in the internet.
4. God-modding! The dreaded, forbidden, the worst of all the sins. Well, in my book at least. God-modding is when a person controls another’s character. NPCs outside of Pokemart or PokeCenter employees and enemy trainers are off limits as well as other players, player Pokemon, and wild Pokemon.
Example: The Rattata charged forward, biting the Charmander’s foot, then jumped back and dodged the return attack.
This post is bad, very bad. For one, there is no guarantee that the attack will hit. No attack is 100% accurate (except for Swift) in rp-land. The person who is being attacked gets to decide if he/she is hit, and how bad of a hit it was. The person strengths of the Pokemon in question must be called into play as well. A Slowpoke is unlikely to be able to dodge an attack made by a Pikachu, for example. Use your imagination on how to avoid, dodge, or otherwise halt the other’s attacks. For example, use headphones to avoid a Sing attack, hide behind a rock, spray up a wall of mud to avoid Electric attacks, or hide behind the other Pokemon’s trainer. (Yes, I have used all of those)
One more thing about the example. The Rattata can’t dodge an attack that hasn’t happened yet. The poster doesn’t even know if the Charmander will do a return attack. It could run away and hide for all the Rattata knows.
A Better Example: The Rattata charged forward, aiming a Bite attack at the Charmander’s foot. Regardless of whether the attack connected or not, the Rattata jumped back to distance itself from a return attack.
See? Everything’s all better.
5. Tips for being a better rper.
a. A battle post, whether it is a wild Pokemon battle or a PvP (player versus Player for you newbies out there) usually goes something like this. You react to the actions from before, and then you do a new action.
i. Reaction: This is where you act on whatever new information you received in the previous post. If your attack was dodged, maybe you state a reaction, like your Pokemon slips because it was expecting a hit. Or, you state whether an attack hit or missed, and how much damaged was done.
ii. The second part is where you put forward new information for the other person to respond to. It may be your Pokemon attacks, or your character may ask a question or state something new.
b. Description is your friend. At this site, there is a 150 word posting limit. This means that most posts should be at least 150 words, or a good paragraph. In some cases a shorter post may be fine, such as if nothing is really happening in the thread. If you have trouble filling that word count, try getting inside your character’s head and telling us what they are thinking and feeling. You can describe the environment, what he/she is wearing, the weather, anything. A longer post will give the other person more to respond to, and more to react to , which will in turn give you more opportunity to respond and react.
c. General posting comments:
i. In a multi-person thread, everyone gets a turn to post before the first person can post again. This means Person A post, the Person B, then Person C. Person A cannot reply until Person C has a chance to post, and Person B cannot post in reply to what Person C said until Person A replies. If a person does not reply for a long time, say 2 days without any contact, then you can skip the person’s turn, but only if you have tried and failed to gain contact with the missing person. If this is the case, or someone says his/her turn may be skipped, then skip it.
ii. Stay in character. Just because you may not like the other person doesn’t mean your character doesn’t like the other person’s character. Also, be sure to keep you character’s knowledge in character. Taijitu Island Pokemon are relatively unknown, so your character wouldn’t know that a Pokemon is a certain type, or that is possesses the Poison Point ability. For example, your person wouldn’t purposely use a ground type against a Phimo, unless your character notices IC something Poisonous about the Pokemon. Also, IC your person wouldn’t know of the Phimo’s Poison Point ability, and therefore wouldn’t avoid a physical attack.
